I had a meal here with my family for my Grans 99th birthday. It was quite a large group so maybe a little disappointing to find that we were divided across 3 large, round tables.Aside from that, the service and food were both very good as were the surroundings of the hotel itself.
Very nice place for a works Xmas party. Very nice polite staff. Food was nice, just not enough of it. Drink prices were a tad steep, so take plenty of money, credit cards are excepted. Disco until midnight, variety of music, old and new, dj will play requests . Overall a lovely place to have an event of any kind, would highly recommend.
Just had a two night break here the room was basic but spacious and clean, all the staff were very friendly the food was lovely lots of choice at breakfast and the food that we ate at dinner we could not fault. Our only criticism is there was not a comfy lounge area eg the chairs were a bit hard and a bit small could of done with some sofas to relax on. Would have no problem recommending or going back had a lovely time.
What can I say about this hotel.. I would give it more stars if I could.... I attended my step daughters wedding and stayed for 2 nights... The staff was fantastic.. The staff arranging the wedding were amazing and made the day go perfectly... It was a fairy tale wedding day thanks to the hard work of the staff.... The room and the food also fantastic... I really can't give the Barns hotel and staff enough praise.... I would like to say a HUGE thank you to everyone there
A quiet clean room, not luxury but very nice. Staff very polite and friendly. Food excellent, especially breakfast but there is a bit of an issue getting food to the table hot, plates hot but food warm. Hotel would benefit from refurbishing bar and reception area. Looks like a good wedding venue. Would recommend especially if you get a deal from secret escapes.
