Very quiet and comfortable. Near to a retail park for evening entertainment and a nice busy pub next door. Comfortable room lots of space.
Bed sheets had marks on, asked for an iron and was told they are all out with guests (about 5 cars in the car park at 8pm) pillows were really thin! Not usual premier inn standards!! I stayed at about 15-20 different premier inns and this was one of the ones that let the chain down!Good point was the shower was really powerful! The big chip in the sink that has been glued back on isn't so good though (room 47)
The rooms were out dated and smelt old and musty. Cleanliness was okay at best. The staff were polite and friendly so cannot fault that. The place just needs a refurb to kick some life back into it. Okay to just put your head down for a night but would not recommend if you can afford the nicer hotels nearby.
Location: if one is fond of nature, location good with a lake, boating, n sorroundings for good walks.Food: neighbouring Beefeater, is a very popular place and apparently good food. For vegetarians, as I am , very little options.Amenities: staff pleasant and welcoming. But with no air conditioning ( in summers a severe problem), just a very small table fan, double room having a queens bed( making it impossible for 2 adults to sleep comfortably), no lift ( problem for person having special needs), no room phone, no microwave ( even at the desk) it has major shortcomings.All in all won't recommend the place.
Be aware rooms classed as disabled do NOT have a walk in shower. Bath is low with rails but could cause problems for some people. Slightly older premier inn but still ok. Could do with a bit of updating compared to some modern ones. Beefeater has good food but again needs attention in some areas.
