Welcome to my no-nonsense review of Longmarsh Bedford.Background:This has to be at least the 6th time Ive rented a vehicle from Longmarsh. Ive mostly rented vans for the purposes of moving house, Ive rented a car once before and on this occasion I also rented a car.Pros:- All the vehicles I have rented have been of low mileage, clean and in excellent condition.- Staff are pleasant, friendly and professional.- Easy location to travel to.- Its near my house. Bit of a subjective pro, but it matters to me at least.- Wide choice of vehicles.- Great prices. The Fiat 500 I rented on this particular day was 58 cheaper than Europcar. 58!!- They know their vehicles. They know where any damage is on a vehicle and have made sure to point it out to me before driving off.- Very convenient opening times.Cons:- If youre not local you might find it a little difficult to find as its tucked away down a little side road. To be honest it shouldnt be particularly hard to find and theres a big sign on the roof.- The premises could be a little better presented. Its functional, but by no means is it dirty or dilapidated. Its no worse than any other car/van rental place that Ive been to in Bedford.Summary:Lots of great reasons to hire a vehicle from Longmarsh with only some very minor cons and from someone being deliberately picky for the purpose of this review. None of the cons should ever stop you renting from them, but what should encourage you to rent from them is all of the great pros and especially that they are so much cheaper than the competition. I did an online quote with Europcar for the same vehicle and they wanted 88 for the day. Thats one hell of a saving and proves that renting a car for a day isnt as expensive as you think.If you found this review useful, please give it a like.
Life saver! Having a car in for emergency repair, I needed a hire car to cover me for a day and a half. Longmarsh stood up and was counted, when the bigger chains left me without available stock at no notice. The little Toyota Aygo was small, but perfectly formed, immaculate inside and out, and very frugal on petrol. Full tank out, full in, the whole bill with insurance cost me a very low 60 all in. I thought I'd end up paying double that, so very pleased with this outcome. Thank you Longmarsh!
Hired a transit from here for a few hours. Great service, although one of the staff was a bit miserable, the others were very cheerful and welcoming. Would definitely hire from here again. Pricing was spot on.
Service first class. Staff very helpful and patient dealing with two novice van drivers needing an automatic vehicle. They sourced and delivered as promised a standard automatic van for 24 hours that was very clean inside and out and easy to handle. Can't recommend them too highly. Will definitely use them again as necessary.
Outstanding customer service. Hired a van for one week in July 2018 to drive to Germany. The staff at Longmarsh were incredibly helpful, friendly and flexible in meeting my needs, all for a reasonable price.
