Local Bosch Garage, very good friendly owner (Bob). Do all makes & have fully qualified mechanics. Place clean, tidy. Won't do anything till they've confirm with the customer. Yes there are cheaper garages, but you get what you pay for. Quality, assurance, guarantee & expert advice given in understandable English. Used them for over 23 years.
Beware!!! They guy who runs this place comes across as a lovely man, dont be fooled!!!Had my car forever! Went in with injector issues, then suddenly he made up loads of issues! Quoted 1200 + labour and vat! for starters then kept fobbing me off! Saying I used the wrong fuel, never would have always driven diesels. Had it so long the battery died and the mot ran out! The list keep going. Refused to let him do the work. Went to another garage had it two days, fixed, all parts labour and a new bloody battery and the mot plus vat for 1000!!Avoid this place like the plague!!!! How they got to be a Bosch service centre amazes me and shows you should always go to a little independent!
European Car Centre came highly recommended by a friend who has been having their cars serviced here for the past 10 years. I found Bob to be friendly and professional. I brought my Audi A1 to the garage as it had suffered a snapped coil spring, within 10 minutes of arriving Bob had phoned up to get the cost of parts, and I was able to leave knowing exactly how much the repair would cost. He also quoted for replacing the cars brake fluid. I dropped the car off on a Friday and on the Monday I had a call to let me know it was ready for collection.The invoiced cost was as expected and as well as the work done he had noted the conditions of the rear brakes and exhaust system. When I asked about the cost of dealing with these issues he explained that my rear brakes would need doing in the next 2 - 3 months and certainly for MOT in September. When I asked about the exhaust he said it would probably be fine for another 12 months or so, but he would check on it when doing per MOT checks.I would recommend European Car Centre to anyone looking to have their car repaired or serviced efficiently for a fair price.
