We have had several evenings here, all memorable. Staff are so friendly and make everyone feel special! Food is delicious, garden so pretty, with lights in the trees. Wld recommend anyone looking to go somewhere for a special event, St. Helena's is the place!
We received the warmest of welcomes when we celebrated a special occassion. Had a table next to the fire in the area with the bar. Service was good throughout, no rushing us through the courses and all staff were friendly. Food was well presented in portions that don't leave you hungry. The food was not cutting edge gastronomy but it was all very well cooked with good flavours and presented beautifully.
Firstly I would like to say the food, wine and the setting is amazing.I had dinner there last night with 3 friends and have to say how amazed i was with how a situation was handled...... by the owner!!!!!My observation was a comment I made in connection with a bottle of vinegar that was placed on the table, I have eaten in lots of restaurants all over the world and never have I seen this, I raised the point to the owner and his reaction was unbelievable and i quote "YOU ARE SUCH A SNOB AND I HAVE NEVER HEARD ANYONE SAY THIS" is this how to deal with a paying customer.Having recently moved to the area I can assure you I will not return and will be telling all my friends about this.Such a shame.......
