What more can I do.... On Friday my 18month old when down hill really fast I called to get a doctors appointment and was told they don't do that now and I would have to wait for a doctor to call me back. I then called 111 as my daughter was getting worst and they told me that as my doctors was still open to call them back and tell them I needed a call back within an hour. I call back to tell the reception and she said she would tell the doctor. I sat at home worrying and waiting all the time my little girl is screaming. in the end I had to call 111 back and they told me to rush her down A and E. I was all ready home when I got a call back from the Doctors at 6pm. A and E should not be used for when your doctors can not be bothered to call you back.
I am a first time mum of one year old twins, one of my twin was taken in the hospital the night before and my other little girl started to show signs. I called at 10am and got told I would have to call back at 1:30pm to get an appointment. I explain that her other twin was very poorly and I would need to get someone to look after her so could I just know an appointment time... all I got told was no no I cant help you have to call back at 1:30pm. I have ended up sitting at a walking in center with a sick baby and a very sick baby at home that Im worried sick about.
It is impossible to book an appointment, no appointments are given out except those on the day for which you have to ring at set time and wait on the phone for up to an hour, just to hear that that nothing is available anyway
Most polite and helpful staff. I have never had to wait for an appointment always available at one or other surgeries. I thank them most sincerely for all the help they have given to me and my husband over the years.
